Day 2! Getting pumped?
There are people blogging these days about weight loss to keep themselves motivated. I’m blogging about floor care, to keep myself motivated! I want to continue to learn, and am enjoying keeping these notes so I know what direction I should take my company, and so I learn how to better take care of my house. (huge investment)!
First things first though, I didn’t eat dinner, am a little fatigued and don’t smell so great! I believe I will go grab a snack, quick shower and I’ll be back with some fascinating insights I’m sure!
I’m back, and to be perfectly honest with you, that didn’t help my mood at all. There is nothing in this house to snack on except fruits and vegetables. Seriously, how do people live like this? My wife knows that the way I relax, is leaning way back in my recliner wearing nothing more than boxers, eating a bag of Cheetos and watching The Biggest Loser. The absolute highlight of my day is when I’m finished, I lick my little orange fingers. Or as I call them, “my Nubs”.
My wife has signed us up for a weight loss challenge with the Chamber of Commerce. I don’t know why she includes me in her random, silly, almost degrading adventures, but she does and she did.
She has been waking up at 6am to go to the gym. I however am not really sure that I have ever seen 6am, and am darn sure that I have never seen 6am at the gym! All this being said, I promise you this, and you can quote me.. “I will lose more weight and percentage than her”. Here is my secret, I am a fatty! That’s it. My body is not gonna know what to do when I stop eating junk. It will have to lose weight. It will!! I’m kinda sneak attacking it.
When I wake up and do not pour a bowl of fruit loops with chocolate milk on top, but replace it with an egg and 1 cheerio. My body will say “What the heck is this? What am I suppose to do with 1 cheerio? Therefore I will lose weight and my over confident wife will owe me back rubs for a week.
Now, I’m not a personal trainer, but I certainly see the logic in this. If this doesn’t work then I will be perplexed.
Now, today’s tip…… Vacuum. Seriously, I need to be better at this and I only know a very few people who I believe don’t need any help on this.
As we discussed, carpet is a filter. As the dirt, sand and pollen gets down into your carpet it acts like sandpaper on those fibers. That’s why traffic lanes get worn or grayed out. (Grayed out can be permanent).
Vacuum, vacuum and then do it again. This week, really work on vacuuming every day.
Later I will be trying out different vacuums and judge them on price, suckiness, and durability. If you have any that you would recommend please email me. nickthefloordoctor@yahoo.com I want to be able to use and recommend to my clients the best, in every category.
Good day,
Nick.
PS. Yes, suckiness is a word.
